Day 11: Saturday Sprinkles-#SOL17

The sun had barely risen over the horizon this morning and the patter of little feet came running to my bedside.  Before I even opened my eyes, I heard little voices asking about breakfast.  More importantly, a breakfast involving donuts.  You see, I had promised my littles that we could get Jack's Donuts for Saturday breakfast and you know they weren't about to let me forget about it.  Even the twins had their request on repeat. OK, OK, I was up and after a few sips of coffee to get moving, I was off to fulfill their impending sugar rush from these tasty treats.

We don't get donuts very often, but when we do, you know they won't last long.  Of course, even though this mom knows everyone's favorite donut order already, you know as I was walking out the door I heard, "Sprinkles, sprinkles, get sprinkles!"  Saturday sprinkles x's 4...I got it! One short trip later to Jack's Donuts and back, I had four happy children sitting at our kitchen island with their sprinkle donuts in hand and a semi-warm cup of coffee still waiting for me.  Let's do this, Saturday...we can do anything once we have our Saturday sprinkles. :)

    I saw your teaser and thought sprinkles meant light rain! I was all set to compare your sprinkles to the torrential downpour I got caught in. This was so much better. Thank you for the surprise sprinkles.

    Yum! Love to treat the kids and gear up for the weekend. My daughter & I went to Panera for breakfast this morning for our own "pastry date" =)

    Love this! I love how you captured both the slow start to a Saturday and also the pressure (those voices before we even open our eyes!). Great moments. And now I want a donut!

    Love this! I felt like I was there, enjoying a "Sprinkles, Sprinkles, Sprinkles!" with you! These are some of my favorite memories to make with my own children. Thank you for sharing this with us!
