Did you just clap your hands? I promise not to break out into song for today's post, but wanted to share some happiness for your Friday that comes from a tiny, daily piece of paper.
First, let's back up to December to a Barnes and Noble checkout line. Our school was hosting a spirit night at a local location, and as I waited in line, I spied out of the corner of my eye, a pile of desktop calendars for the upcoming new year. A bright, yellow box stood out, and I noticed it said Instant Happy Notes: 365 reminders to smile and shine. Who wouldn't love a daily reminder for the entire year that could make them feel even happier?...SOLD.
I keep my happiness calendar on my desk at work, and I look forward to tearing off the paper to reveal what the day's message will hold. More times than not, it's been just what I needed to start my day off on the right foot. I even tuck away some of my favorites that have really resonated with me for when I need a pick-me-up or perspective.
However, what's the best thing about happiness? To spread it, not to just keep it for yourself. I love sharing my daily #happynote with my PLN and friends in hopes that they too, may read just what they need to have a great day or at least approach their day with a different mindset. I leave you with today's note with the hope that your day was filled with happiness and love. If not, tomorrow's a new day and there's always time to choose happiness.
I LOVE Happy Notes!! This was my desk calendar last year, and I haven't found another copy for this year. :( Like you, I would squirrel my favs away. I have them taped up, in random drawers, and just yesterday a coworker came in and said she found one that I'd sent her last year to cheer her up. They make great notes to give out! :) Fun memories...I need to check Amazon! I miss my notes! Happy Friday!!
ReplyDeleteI have never bought one of these tear off daily calendars, but this one might be worth it. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the happy Friday thought today. I love quotes and being surrounded by positivity. I might need a trip to Barnes and Nobles.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great reminder that we need to hit the resent button each day! I love these Happy Notes!
ReplyDeleteLove this quote. So true! We need to project what we want to get back. Thanks for sharing.
