Now, my first cup of coffee is nearly gone and the glimpses of color have given way to a new landscape of snowflakes and white. So while my children are looking forward to a snow day, I'll sit here just a little longer, make a second cup of coffee, and appreciate these moments of mindfulness brought to you by this Indiana spring.

Day 24: Indiana Spring is Like a Box of Chocolates #SOL18
Today, the forecast is calling for 5-8 inches of snow. You have to appreciate an Indiana spring - it's like a box of chocolates...you just never know what you are going to get. As the snow is beginning to fall and my children are asking to pull out their snow pants and boots, I go to make my morning cup of coffee in our morning room.
As the Keurig warms up, I stare out the window and take a moment to just look at the outside world. There, beyond the tree line, is the start of a beautiful sunrise. The pinks, oranges, and yellows yield an array of color and beauty. It's one of our favorite family views from our home. We can always get a sneak peek at the sun awakening for the day.

No snow here, yet but you never know what Chicago weather will bring either. Glad you had a peaceful start to your morning and it's nice having kids around to put a happier spin on snow at the end of March. Wishing you some warm sunny days soon to melt the snow away and bring you some spring flowers.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful way to start your day! Did you get the 5-8 inches that were forecasted? I hope so! I have given up hope of getting any measurable amount of snow here in St. Louis. I am living vicariously through all the SOL snow posts!
